It occured to me just now I haven't been posting that much here, because I don't have anything to whine about, really. I think I tend to come here when I need sympathy or a friendly ear. Coming on LJ to say 'oh, wow, my life is FABULOUS doesn't seem exactly right.
That being said, life has been pretty good of late. Work is okay, I didn't have a car accident *touches wood* and Dave the Fiance and I are still happily in love, and wedding plans are continuing apace.
Not sure if I mentioned this, but Charlie and I will be moving from NJ to PA in June. That's where Dave lives, and he really didn't want to move to Jersey. Charlie was not terribly pleased with the idea at first, but he's rather looking forward to it now.
It will be really hard, I know, for both of us. I will miss being able to see my friends on a daily basis; I'll still see them, it will just take a bit more planning. It will be hard for Charlie, as he is leaving the only home he ever knew, but he knows, as well as I do, that this is a good move. It's a whole new chapter in our life.
Apart from leaving my friends, though, I'm quite looking forward. It's like a clean break from my past life. Starting fresh, and all that.
And I'm writing, which is good. I dug out my old mystery story I wrote a few years ago for NaNo, and I've been editing it. I'm rather proud of the results so far. I have 62,000 word, which I think is a nice, respectable size so far, and I'm not even quite done yet.
So that's me.
Oh, and Happy Valentine's Day. Although I like tomorrow better; Half Price Chocolate Day.
