I understand how you feel. My kids are both grown with children of their own, but they are still my kids, and they always will be.

I still get sniffly when they do something extraordinary.

And with all of Charlie's other issues, the fact that he is becoming a functional adult is a tribute to you for the way you've raised him to cope with his differences.
