My husband is sick. He says I'm very unsympathetic to him when he is sick, and I am, but it's because he moans around like he's at death's door, and if I pity him too much he'll slip into a coma.

It isn't fair of me, but there you go. He has what Charlie had, only with more whining. He says it's the flu, but as it isn't quite flu season yet, I'm pretty certain it's the viral infection that is going around. The big baby. And then he never goes to the doctor, which pretty much ensures if he has something it's going to get worse and he's going to give it to me and/or Charlie.

I suppose part of my resentment lies in the fact that when I get sick I don't get to lie about all day moaning.

Meanwhile I'm still internally squeeing over my Terry Pratchett encounter yesterday. It was way cool. He put '333' in my Good Omens book. Thought that was funny.

Anyway, off to bring the big baby some Gatorade. More later!

Men are all the same...poor darlings. Just as well they don't have to have the babies, eh? *g*

Mine's the same way. Heck, most guys I know are that way. They get sick, and whiney, and you just want to throw them at their mothers and say "This is your fault. You take care of him."

(Their fault for coddeling them and making them chicken soup etc when they're sick)

Of course, when we're sick, we still have to take care of their whiney-butts who got us sick in the first place! lol!

Sick men are worse than sick toddlers any day.

I hope he's better soon!

We can't lie around whining all day-we have families to tend to!

If that hasn't been [livejournal.com profile] metaquotesd, may I?

I work in a diagnostic Virology lab and hate the thought of "Flu Season". Technically, Flu Season runs from Oct 1st to April 30 but as the years go by we are seeing the lines that define "Viral Seasons" blurring out of existence. Our "current" season is Enterovirus Season but it can mimic the symptoms of Influenza and/or the Parainfluenzas. And to our dismay, we have already seen positive Parainfluenza cultures this week. I hate flu season!

Haha. I feel that way with Anna half the time. Because her tonsils are horribly inflamed and she's put off having them removed for years, when she gets a cold it turns into a hacking cough that lasts for weeks. In fact, we're going through this right now. And she refuses to see a doctor. So I have no sympathy! Medical care is FREE here!

Will you bring me some Gatorade too? I like the yellow kind. Thanks. ;-)

Count yourself lucky.
My dad is incompetant even when he isn't sick. He doesn't whine 'though. Just walk around sneezing all of the winter because he's too lazy to dress when he's cold.
Men are ... well.. we'll never understand them :)

Oh, what a baby! Though that tendency isn't just limited to men. I had a roommate in college who would flop around the apartment, complaining that she was going to *die* if her cold didn't get better. Then she would sit on the couch for days eating fishsticks and peas and carrots and mope if anyone wanted to watch something besides the *Lifetime Movie Network* because she is *oh so* sick and we should all bow down to her.

And that is why we only lived together for one year. ;)

(Do you mind if I friend you? I saw you first on [livejournal.com profile] slammerkinbabe's journal, but you have been popping up all over my flist. I've lurked here a bit, and I am fond of your journal.)

ACK. My hubby is sick, too. And he's behaving the same way. He came home from work and sat on the couch and sighed repeatedly until I asked what his problem was. He then informed me that I got him sick with whatever I've had these past few days. It's all very sad and pathetic.

But..but...but...he's siiiiiiiick! He doesn't feeeeeeel welllll! Could you get him *diminutive voice* a glass of water?

Sick men are funny.

As for Terry Pratchett: you met him? Go you! Very cool!

This is why I am still single! LOL! I don’t think I could handle a whinny man!
