Aussies really are amazing dogs. Border collies are a lot like them, but I'm naturally partial to Aussies. ;D
I love my puppy (who is 12 now and clearly not a puppy anymore). She's incredibly smart, we never had any trouble training her, she never chewed shoes or other possessions and while she did have a little problem with wetting the floor when she was a puppy, that got taken care of right away.
They do need lots of exercise, though. And, like all big dogs, they can be prone to hip and joint problems. My poor baby has arthritis now and can't really go up stairs anymore. It's the saddest thing. :/
