There is a happy Charlie in the house.

Thank goodness for Grandparents* because Charlie's paternal grandparents got him a Wii.

I wasn't there, but apparently when he opened the box - it was bundled with about 4 million accessories - he was reading out the things - paddles or whatever - and said, "Does this come with a Wii?" he was told yes, of course, and he shouted, "I KNEW IT! I KNEW I'D GET A WII!"

I'd discouraged him wishing for one, because I couldn't afford it, and even after I knew this Wii was coming, I didn't encourage it because I wanted him to just appreciate what Santa had brought. Which he did.

My mother got him a Nintendo DS, which was his other item on his wish list. Charlie actually doesn't ask for much, but what he does want tends to be expensive, so I am very glad he was able to get his wishes to come true this year.
