I still get those obnxious spam emails, and every once in awhile the subject line just makes me laugh. Today's was Left haberdashery some garage

I mean, haberdashery? Who uses that word any more?

Was just watching Roman Holiday on the television. What an awesome movie. I am very grateful they haven't remade it. Yet. Although I could see Natalie Portman in the role of the princess, if someone does get the ill-concieved idea to mutilate yet another classic Audrey Hepburn film.

I made it through the day pretty un-hungover, just in case anyone is wondering. I drank lots of water took a couple asprin and had some Pepto-Bismal before I went to sleep. It helped. I did have really weird dreams though.

That was always my Defense against the Dark Hangover: lots of water before bedtime.

Glad to know you're doing well.

Sounds like somebody sent their subject line through Babelfish.

I loooove that movie. A remake would be ok, but if they change the ending I'll *scream*.

I use haberdashery in sentences now and then, but only because of Are You Being Served?

Love that show.

"Mr. Humphries, are you free?"

*Looks left. Looks right.* "Yes, Mr. Granger/Captain Peacock, I'm free."

Actually I hate to tell you this, but Roman Holiday was remade in the late 80's, I believe, as a TV movie with Tom Conti as the reporter and Catherine Oxenberg as the Princess. I only watched it because I am a devoted Tom Conti fan, but it was pretty dreadful, Tom notwithstanding. Oxenberg had none of the charm of the wonderful Audrey, and Tom seemed a bit miscast.

I love the original, it has to be one of my all-time favorite films. Gregory Peck is my favorite Golden Age actor, always swoon-worthy, especially in this film and in The World in His Arms and Captain Horatio Hornblower. And Audrey Hepburn, I don't think I've ever seen a film of hers I didn't like her in, at least. I don't much like the plot of Love in the Afternoon but she's charming in it, nonetheless.

Love in the Afternoon was such an odd movie. I mean wossname, Gary Cooper who was Audrey's 'Love Interest' was a million years older than her.

It was a pretty naughty film for the 50's, really. Pre-marital sex and all that.

But I concur, Audrey Hepburn is just always good in everything she does. Even if her love interests are never even close to her age.
