They've spent the last week trying to frighten people about the Swine Flu and now they're picking on Joe Biden for frightening people about the Swine Flu?
Honestly. I'm watching a story on our local news about how there are Five! Confirmed! Cases! in New Jersey (3 of whom are in the same family, BTW) and then they interviews students at U of Delaware, because some people have it there, or something, and the baseball team cancelled a trip to North Carolina because one of their team members has it.
And then the next story is "OMG JOE BIDEN SAID MAYBE PEOPLE SHOULDN'T BE IN CONFINED SPACES BECAUSE THAT'S HOW YOU GET FLU! WHAT AN IDIOT!"
According to EverydayHealth.com:
Can swine flu be treated? Is it fatal?
Yes, there are treatments for the flu. Tamiflu and Relenza are two types of antiviral drugs that can reduce the severity and duration of illness from swine flu. But they must be taken within two days of symptoms first appearing, warns the CDC. The vast majority of people with influenza, including swine influenza, will have mild or perhaps moderate illness. If a severe case of flu leads to death, it's nearly always in very young and very old patients or those with compromised immune systems.
So, dear news media. Find. Something. Else. To. Do. Isn't there a war on? Are you that bored of the resession already? No celebrities are doing idiotic things anywhere?
