Hullo. Just testing my Dreamwidth/cross-posty thing. I've the same user name at Dreamwidth. Which is nifty.

There's also a 'Follow Friday' feed for, you guessed it, Fridays. It's a great place to go looking for comms and people you might want to watch. And for a general Dreamwidth starter kit,

You know you can import your entire LJ to Dreamwidth, yes? And carry on importing the LJ comments after that, if you want to.

Oh. No, I didn't know that. Will have to do that.

The option on the menu down the side of the Dreamwidth page under Organize - Import Content. It may take a while to do the initial import :-)

Go here to the Import Journal page. All I had to do was pick what I wanted to import and then click "Start import." Six years of LJ and comments and tags got imported in, no kidding, THREE MINUTES. No effort at all.

To default to crossposting to LJ when you post at Dreamwidth, go here. You have several choices there--you can not tell anyone you're crossposting, you say that this was originally posted at your Dreamwidth account (link provided), or you can say that this was originally posted at your Dreamwidth account (link provided) and please post there using Open ID.
