Oh, be snotty, by all means - I only read the first book, and probably didn't give it a fair chance. I just couldn't get into it. Someday I may give it another chance - I just have a problem when an author assumes I'll figure out what a daemon was and that it was some alternate universe Oxford and what not. I'm not that bright, really.
