Sing a song

Okay, everyone. I need your help.

Does anyone know of any songs that are the following:

1. A duet, or a song that can be broken into a duet, between a man and a woman that is somewhat contentious in nature?

2. Female empowerment songs ala 'I am woman, hear me roar'

3. A song about how peace is better than war

This is for our production of Lysistrata in the fall.

Thanks!

2 out of 3 (though obvious)

You could probably do "It' A'int Me, Babe" by Bob Dylan and the rest of the folk world.

Bomb the World by Michael Franti and the Spearhead

Here are the lyrics:

Please tell me the reason
Behind the colours that you fly
Love just one nation
And the whole world you divide
You say you're sorry
There is no other choice
God bless the people
Who cannot raise their voice

Chorus:
We can chase down all our enemies
bring them to their knees
we can bomb the world to pieces
but we can't bomb it into peace
Whoa, we may even find the solution
to hunger and disease
you can bomb the world to pieces
but you can't bomb it into peace

Violence brings one thing
More and more of the same
Military madness
The smell of flesh and burning pain
So I sing out to the masses
Stand up if you're still sane
To all of us gone crazy
Sing this one refrain
(chorus)

And I say, power to the people

And the song in performance:

A bunch of stuff from The Beautiful South. For the man and woman contentious in nature stuff. Like "A Little Time".

War, what is it good for? :D

I know a bunch of peace songs but I don't know if they specifically mention war. (Peace Train, Imagine, Give Peace a Chance, Peace Love and Understanding, stuff like that.)

I can't think of female ones. Bitch? Or there are so many, that I can't think of them, kwim?

The duet is For Merry Wives and has to be an Appalachian folk song
and it has to be 70's feminist songs

Actually no, the duet I"m talking about is for Lysistrata. He wants singing between the men and the women chorus!
