News on the wedding front
We officially have a wedding venue.
Sand Castle Winery outside of New Hope PA. Seriously outside. One has to drive down this windy tree-lined road that follows the Delaware past beautiful homes and picturesque towns to get to the winery but it is SO worth it. It's up on the hill and it overlooks the river, and the views are breathtaking.
I had a feeling this was going to be the place when I found it on line, and I was not at all disappointed. It has everything we wanted - the room where our reception will be is on the 2nd floor, again with spectacular views, and it is an art gallery, so the walls are lined with paintings and small statues and stuff. Don't need any extra decoration at all because it is beautiful already.
The best part, in my opinion, is the rental of the room, the ceremony site, AND unlimited wine is $20 pp. (Tables and chairs are extra, though)4 different kinds of wine, and it is all delicious!
And I found a caterer that's doing the food - tons of it, including an ice cream sundae bar for $25 pp. So yay me.
So, May 27, 2012 is the date (we MIGHT change it to June 3, but I doubt it).
Off to work now.

We were seriously considering wineries when we were first thinking about getting married in the DC area. They do usually have pretty good deals and it's hard to beat the locations for most of them.
