In case anyone is interested and missed this - The Winner of the Guardian's contest

The winner of the contest to write Dumbledore's death scene is The Poppynge of the Clogges written in the style of Geoffery Chaucer, by some guy called Tom Richardson.

The 17th Century echo poem got an honourable mention, which is good, cause I liked that one.

Still no book.

Still waiting for my book too.

And the online version got taken down. Sigh. Groan. Grump.

Glad I'm not alone in the waiting, anyway!

The Guardian (British Paper, natch) had a story about how lots of bets were being taken that Dumbledore was going to die in the 6th book, so they ran a contest that had people writing DD's death scene in the whatever author/style of writing they wanted. I highly recommend reading all the entries, they're pretty good.
