Not the best copy, but...

I had to go home for a bit this afternoon - Charlie's friend D (see earlier post) had an accident in his pants, and his mother was at the doctor's and was unreachable. His other mother works in the city, and I'm guessing the school didn't think to call her or couldn't reach her. Anyway, I ran home, got some of Charlie's pants and went to the school, by this time the bus was already there, so I said I'd just take the kids home, which I did. Kate met me at my house. The upside of this was I got to see Charlie's school photo already.
In sadder news, D's mother is back in hospital. You may recall I mentioned a few weeks ago how she'd been ill. I don't know why yet, M didn't know details yet either. Poor thing - she's stuck at work, and she is important there and so can't just dart out. She will be darting out as soon as she can, but meanwhile thanks be to God for Kate the Baby-Sitter of Awesomeness for being able to take care of both boys.
I hope that the hospital thing is just a small thing from the problem we already knew about and not because of some new horrible thing we didn't. So, fingers crossed, people!
And finally, saw this article on CNN.com: Day late and a dollar short, people. Would have been better if they came to this conclusion this time last year.

Sorry to hear about D's mum. Hope she'll be okay. Fingers definitely crossed!
Agree with you about the article. After all the stuff that's gone on, I don't know how anyone can approve of him, unless they hate this country and its people and like what he's doing to us. I'll just keep watching Bill Maher and waiting with bated breath for 2008 and the end of Bush!!
