Verruca Salt

"Last night I had a dream," Charlie informed me, "That Verruca and I were friends."

"You like Verruca, then?" I asked him.

"Yes. She's my favorite character."

My son's favorite character in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the spoilt, bratty rich girl. This does not bode well for his dating future.

Hahahaha.

Well you've got time to make sure he knows girls like that are trouble. Speaking of which, I saw that for the first time today- that squirrel scene is disturbing. The movie on a whole was a lot darker than the old version (which I never liked because hello, did they even read the book?)which is funny because when I was younger I didn't really notice how dark the book was. Yeah.

You know, sometimes I really, really love Charlie.

Charlie's got good taste in girls. I had a crush on the original Veruca way back in the day.

That's okay. Some guys like to walk on the wild side. I myself tend to prefer the bad boys over the boy scouts; nothing turns me on to a person more than knowing that he's in touch with his dark side.

Just as long as you raise him not to be a doormat, he should be just fine.

Meh, I wouldn't worry too much. Watching Scooby Doo as a kid, I idolized Daphne and thought Velma was a chump, and yet I've grown up to be a woman who can think for herself and isn't getting kidnapped every three bloody seconds. :P

She's my favorite character, too. I need an "I want it now" icon.

Smart boy, your Charlie.

haha, and what an excellent icon, too!

He likes strong women! Not wilting flowers! Go Charlie. :)

Of course, there is something to be said for marrying wealth.... ;-)

ROFL! They can come over to my deck where there are squirrels!!

I don't know what to say except...

The sweet boys always end up with the nasty bitches. And the sweet girls end up with horrible manipulative boys.

(That is, in the teenage dating scene.)

Reassure yourself with the thought that it might just be because she's very pretty.

Besides, everybody needs a go-around with a spoiled brat so they learn first-hand WHY it's a bad thing...
