Mommies are always right

After he was done with his homework, Charlie asked if he could go ride his bicycle.

"No," I replied, "It's too windy." And it is, really windy and cold.

So he played on the computer for a bit, until I had to get back on to do some work, and he went downstairs. Unbeknownst to me, he got his bicycle off the porch and took it outside. I should have known, really, the house was too quiet. Not long after this, the doorbell rings, and I go downstairs.

There's Charlie, standing at the foot of the stairs that lead up to the porch, holding his bike and wearing his helmet. He looks up at me, a look of surprise on his face and says, "You're right. It is too windy."

Sometimes kids just have to find out for themselves. :)

Ha! It's impossible that Mom could know anything!

Imagine that, sometimes mom *is* right! Funny how they have to learn the hard way, isn't it?
