Why I wish I had a laptop

I need a laptop because it is going to be a beautiful day today, and if I had a laptop, with a wireless connection* I could sit on my back porch and do my work today.

Sigh

At least I'm at home, though, and can open windows and go outside at lunch time.

*and a million dollars so I could pay for all this

we have a wireless connection. actually, we pick up like three here in our house. i have no idea who they belong to!

I don't think FireWire is supposed to be that expensive. Plus I remember reading that you can buy laptops for less than 1000$ now (which is probably even less if you count out the huge taxes added). Of course you don't get a gamer-compatible laptop for that price. And it probably won't run Vista (very well) once that resourse-draining memory-hog comes out.

If it makes you feel better...I have a laptop and wireless that I can't use, because I don't have a wireless card and Mac ones are ridiculously expensive.

You know a wireless connection isn't that expensive. As for the laptop, sadly I agree.
And what about playing the lottery from time to time? Of course, there's no way one can win; but after all, as a friend of mine says, "100% of the winners played at least once". :D
