Not sure how I got on this email list

I got something from the lovely people at the American Family Association telling me that, thanks to them, Ford's sales dropped 11%, since they started boycotting Ford because Ford supports the 'Homosexual Agenda'.*

I started to research it, but frankly I'm too tired. I'm sure there are millions of reasons for the drop in sales, and I'm willing to bet gas prices had more to do with drops in sales than the fact that a bunch of bigoted morons didn't buy Fords. The thing that kills me is that they say that the 'homosexuals' aren't showing support to Ford despite Ford's 'support' of the Homosexual Agenda.

They put advertising in magazines. That's it. That's not showing support so much as it is saying, 'oh, here's a market of people who have jobs and drive cars and probably many of them have the disposable income to buy a luxury car or SUV.'

These people are so terrified of sex in any form they just can't handle life. I really think if sex had nothing whatsoever to do with being gay they wouldn't care. I wonder, if somehow one could get pregnant during gay sex if they would still care so much.

The whole thing is unfathomable.

I considered leaving myself on the mailing list, just for the amusement factor, but I didn't. I don't want to encourage these people in any way.

Ford Sales Drop 11.6%. Homosexual Groups More Important Than Support For Employees, Dealers.

Homosexuals give Ford no public support despite falling sales due to AFA boycott

Dear Carol,

The boycott of Ford Motor Company continues to be effective. Sales in August dropped 11.6%. This follows drops of 5% in March, 7% in April, 2% in May, 6.8% in June and 4.1% in July.

Ford is taking several actions to halt falling sales, but none of them include ending financial support for homosexual groups promoting same-sex marriage. Ford lost $1.4 billion in the first half of the year.

Rather than save money by cutting financial support to homosexual groups, Ford plans to cut production by 21%, trim the number of dealers, reportedly is seeking a merger or alliance with another auto maker, studying taking the company private, and considering selling their Jaguar, Volvo and Land Rover units.

Chrm. Bill Ford puts the support for homosexual groups ahead of Ford's support for employees and dealers. Dealers and employees should be calling Chrm. Ford, asking him to stop supporting the homosexual agenda. The Detroit Free Press reported that Ford gives hundreds of thousands of dollars to homosexual groups. Over 40 pro-family leaders urged Ford to remain neutral in the homosexual marriage battle, but Ford refused.

While Ford, General Motors and Chrysler had similar financial problems when the AFA boycott began, most analysts see General Motors and Chrysler conditions improving. While not responsible for all of Ford's financial problems, the boycott is not doubt having a major effect. Ford blames it on the cost of gasoline. But General Motors and Chrysler face the same problem of $3 a gallon gas, yet their situation is improving.

Ford heavily marketed the Jaguar and Volvo units to the homosexual community, offering cash donations of $500 to $1000 to homosexual groups for each Jaguar or Volvo sold. The homosexual community has given Ford no public support, despite the massive support Ford has given them.

Last November Ford agreed to make some changes, then reneged after meeting with homosexual leaders. If Ford would honor their commitment, AFA would end the boycott.

For more information on the Ford boycott, visit BoycottFord.com. Every homosexual group Ford supports has as their top goal the legalization of homosexual marriage.

Changes Ford agreed to make, then reneged after meeting with homosexual leaders.

Ford would not renew current promotions or create future incentives that give cash donations to homosexual organizations based on the purchase of a vehicle.

Ford would not make corporate donations to homosexual organizations that, as part of their activities, engage in political or social campaigns to promote civil unions or same-sex marriage.

Ford would stop giving cash and vehicle donations or endorsements to homosexual social activities such as Gay Pride parades.

Ford would cease all advertising in homosexual websites and media outlets (magazines, television, radio) in the U.S. with the exception of $100,000 already budgeted to be used by Volvo. The Volvo ads would be the same ads used in the general media and not aimed at the homosexual community specifically.

*And, come on, isn't 'Homosexual Agenda' the stupidest phrase ever? Like there's this big cartel somewhere meeting in a bunker underneath the ocean, discussing ways gay sex can take over the world.

This entry is both giggle-inducing and completely awesome. I like the idea of a sub-ocean bunker :D

And that's a good point - if gay sex was procreative, and therefore 'useful', would there really be any objection? If gayness was nonsexual, what they even care? Food for thought.

I have a couple folks who subscribe just so they can call/write/email whomever is being targeted for boycotts and thanking them for supporting whatever terrible homosexual/pro-abortion/whateverwhatever agenda the afa is against.

Oh, look, fewer people are going on vacation! That means our Boycott against Ungodly Vacation Spots is working and has nothing whatsoever to do with gas prices.

Can we say Riding on the Coattails of a Trend?

Oh, yeah, didn't you know? We homosexuals definitely have an agenda. We want to live our lives without anyone telling us how to have sex, when to have sex or who to have sex with or fall in love with or marry. We want to buy the cars that we want to buy, without worrying about who supports our cause or not. We want to have kids by whatever method we can, if we want to have kids. We want to have the same rights as every other American or British or Canadian or German citizen. That is our agenda. Pretty radical, ain't it? ;)

Wait... Who told you about the gay bunker underneath the ocean?!

[identity profile] bookgrrrl.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 12:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm afraid there's been a leak.

Now we have to convert her or kill her.

Cover me, I'm going in, and I'm bringing my Xena DVDs with me.

Hopefully the leak isn't in the bunker under the sea!

yipes!!

This is, without a doubt, the funniest thing I have read all day.

... I can't say anything else. It's just too funny for words.

Can you imagine the horror?
Idiots

Probably has more to do with the fact that nobody's buying Landrovers anymore. Here's an industry article on it. The domestics are all being hurt, basically, by their larger reliance on SUVs and light trucks. Of Ford, specifically, they say:

Of the major automakers, Ford's sales drop was the worst. Its SUV and truck sales fell 20.8 percent year over year, but car sales were up 8.5 percent fueled by higher demand for the midsize Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan and Lincoln Zephyr.

So the only thing screwing Ford over is gas prices (and in a way this is a good thing, there's going to be a big focus on making more fuel-efficient cars now in the way that only economics can force on big business).

(The homosexual agenda cartel meets in a secret bunker under a volcano, not under the ocean. Our first target is Mars, upon which we will establish a utopian gay society and also a large phallic raygun with which to vaporise Earth)

*points above* All American car manufacturers have been teh suck the last few years. That's because by and large their cars are teh suck. How cute of the AFA to think that their boycott has you know...done anything.

[identity profile] crossbow1.livejournal.com 2006-09-05 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course, Ford COULD consider making better cars...

My company allows people to include their same-sex partners on their insurance. Are we supporting the homosexual agenda enough? I know one gay man once referred to my company as "the biggest bunch of homos I've ever seen," but was several years ago.

My state used to allow gay civil unions, but that got overturned while no one was looking.

Like there's this big cartel somewhere meeting in a bunker underneath the ocean, discussing ways gay sex can take over the world.

*giggles* I want in.

...although "meetings with homosexual leaders" made me sniggle even more. Oh the possibilities.

ok make up your mind...is it under the ocean or under the volcano...since the sting ray incident down here and scuba drowning (opps diving) in a pool the volcano seems more appealing. And considering the dress code of homesexual is more than likely 1000% better and more appropriate than my family i will jump on board the band wagon.I mean if they blow up earth from mars at least they will morn in the right clothing. Lmao.
