Things you shouldn't say in front of children

Charlie is watching 'The Good Night Show' (don't ask me why) with what has to be the Dorkiest Children's Host in television. They were doing sounds, and the child was supposed to guess the sound. The sound was a cat meowing, and DCH is doing the 'talking to the kids in TV land' thing and asking what that sound was.

"A cat," says Charlie.

Dorky asks again.

"A cat," Charlie repeats, more forcefully then adds, sotto voice, "Dumb Ass."

LOL!! That's sooo funny! Little pitchers and big ears and all that..

I'm waiting for Reb to come out with "jackass" or some other thing I tend to mutter when stuck in traffic...

I hate the goodnight show. We don't watch it around here. Thank god for TiVo!

I probably shouldn't have laughed as hard as I did at that!

(sorry, the reply link has disappeared from the main entry, so I added it on here).

I loved that! Definitely made my night!

Did you tell him "No, honey, that's not a donkey, it's a cat?" And then wait for his face to turn red with sputtering?

I had just read some awful, awful news from my hometown, and then I read your entry and it made me feel so much better- I really enjoy reading your Charlie stories, he's a great kid with an AWESOME Mom.

That being said- Oh, Charlie :).

You're right. That is funny! Er...can Charlie come to Blighty and stay with us til we move? I have a feeling I'll be needing his humour to get me through.

:D
