Well, blow me down

So, my two friends and I were going to meet at this diner with our kids to exchange Christmas presents and stuff. On Tuesdays the diner has 'kids night' and there is face painting and animal balloons and crafts and its really nice, because the kids go off and have fun and you can have a grown up conversation.

Well, first K couldn't go because her sister is in town and her mother wanted her to have dinner with the family. Then B couldn't go because her son got sick. Naturally, as soon as I picked Charlie up today he started talking about going to Silver Diner. So, we decided to go as a family anyway.

And what do you know - I bump into an old friend I'd totally lost touch with. She went through a rough divorce, and the only number I had for her got disconnected, and I didn't know where she went, etc. So I was very happy to see her again. We re-exchanged phone numbers, and hopefully we will stay in touch again.

So, see, sometimes things just happen.

And I was going to try to say something profound or witty, but I can't think of anything, so it'll have to wait.

thats cool that things turned out good anyway! I love catching up with people. (I'm TERRIBLE at keeping in touch, it happens a lot)
