(no subject)

So the impression I'm getting is that Livejournal is going to be getting annoying with trying to bring in 'new traffic' or something. I've had this account for ages but didn't use it.

However, something tells me I'm going to need to use it more often in the future.

So Hello to Dreamwidth again.

Oh? What did they do now?

Will you be cross-posting here and there?

Yeah, at least for awhile, until everyone I know is also on Dreamwidth. :)

You can link your accounts so that everything you post on DW also posts to LJ! I did that but I keep posting to LJ because I'm used to the interface.

Yeah, I'm given up on Livejournal for posting. I'm over at Dreamwidth, too, if you want to "friend" me there (or whatever their version of that is). :)

What is LJ doing?

[identity profile] charliesmum.livejournal.com 2012-01-23 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
"LiveJournal's leadership has made it clear that their future American business strategy lies in generating new traffic rather than catering to the service's current small-but-loyal membership. The challenge for Petrochenko and other executives at LiveJournal will be redefining the brand's identity in a crowded media marketplace."

Ew. That sounds awful. I've just gotten back on the site and was so happy - I'd hate to see it change.

I know. And I love LJ - I've been here ages, and made some good friends. I'm mostly going to DW because I think most of the people I know on LJ will be doing so. One can still write on one site and it will post on both, so that's good.

That makes sense. Will your comments sync as well? (i.e. If you post on Dreamwidth and I comment on the post on LJ, will you see it and be able to respond?)
