Television Without Pity

I really enjoy reading the recaps, precisely because they are snarky, but you know, the comments on the forum tend to get on my nerves. Sheesh, people, can nothing make you happy?

I was reading the comments for Lost and so many people were complaining that 'they didn't answer enough questions' and 'oh noes, we don't know what is in the hatch!' and so many people said 'oh, I'm not watching this story because everything wasn't wrapped up in a neat bow.'

Look, if they tell us what is in the hatch, we won't have anything to wonder about all summer. That is why they call it a cliff hanger. Dur.

I might get annoyed at the show if they kill off too many of the main characters, or if they bow to network pressure and give one or both of the Duff sisters a guest-appearance, but overall it's a good, intreguing show, and I plan to continue watching it.

Look, TWoP people. Just enjoy the good acting, and the decent writing and be thankful it's an actual, scripted show with talented people who have worked hard at their craft (for the most part) instead of messed up attention-seeking oddballs looking for their 15 minutes of fame by eating bugs or pretending to be in love with some vapid moron.

End PSA

I`ve learned long ago not to read the LOST TWP forums - not since I read some really disgusting attacks on Dominic Monaghan`s acting, as well as illogical bitchery about everyone and everything else. It even succeeded in leaving me feeling awfully depressed with something I was in love with. :/

I still read the TWP VM ones (which are not as bad) - but I try not to take them too seriously, which I don`t always manage to. ^^;

Anyway, the point being that the TWP forums are bound to piss anyone who`s a fan of something off. There are some intelligent, insightful people there but their voices are drowned amid the general stupidity of the majority. Avoiding them would be my advice.

I think TwoP is one of the main reasons I stopped watching CSI...too much stuff going on.

I get tired of all the bitching in [Unknown site tag]. That's why I spend so much time on The Fuselage. I can go where I want and avoid the ranting, as opposed to an LJ community.

But it's Televsion Without Pity. They're supposed to pick on everything. (I don't read the forums either.)

I know - the recaps I don't mind, but some of the comments the people make in the forums are just annoying. Whiny. I don't know. It was just gbugging me!

I LIKE the mystery they give you. I want to be kept guessing, and I want to make my own theories, because then I might come up with a short story or something.

It's a love-hate relationship, the Plot Bunnies and I.
