Waiting for Godot...I mean, The Heatiing Guy

Am at home this morning, waiting for the heater guy to come and fix my heater. Finally. Life being what it is, we'll probably have a heat wave the moment he leaves.

Yesterday, on slammerkinbabe's journal, I offered Trinny and Suzanne's advise about wearing black with color - makes the colour look tacky and the black look cheap, appearently. So naturally today I am wearing black pants with an orange sweater. It's sort of a burnt orange, not too bright. I did put a black sweater-jackety thing over it, so maybe that helps.

I really hate waiting for people. You can't get anything started because you're waiting, and you are on edge because you're waiting. Sigh.

Hopefully the next time I write I will have heat in my house. *fingers crossed*

I'm a huge fan of the U.S. What Not to Wear, butTrinny and Susannah's website was irritating. First - if you're not supposed to wear black with color, what *are* you supposed to wear black with?

Second - their "style barometer" made no sense; I always wanted an option that wasn't there.

Third - "If you're pear shaped don't wear kitten heels." Um...why?

I'll stick with Clinton and Stacy thanks!

You've got heating problems too? After speaking with the first-floor tenant of the house that I live in (I've got the top two floors; the house is broken into three apartments) I realized that the only thermostat in the entire house is in her apartment. So she controls the heat. And she's away in England until Sunday! I'm freezing!

Also, I really hope the woman isn't one of those '65 degrees no matter what' type people.
