Some icons

I'm still making icons in my own, primative way. Thought I'd share.

Yours, whoever may want them.

In other news, I'm still watching Series 2 of Dr Who with the 10th Doctor. I'm torn between wanting to know if something really bad happens to Rose and wanting to be unspoiled. The last two episodes I watched hinted fairly heavily at it. I just finished number 10. So very funny, and yet bittersweet. I really thought all the people would be alive at the end - it seemed like that sort of episode. It was also fun to see the Doctor from a different point of view.

They really like saying the name of the planet the Slivens came from, don't they?

Oh! Almost forgot. I got my copy of Wintersmith yesterday. Hurrah for new Pratchett.

Off to take the boy to soccer.

ETA: Added detail to spoiler announcement.

Yay for danger mouse. That was, literally, the only show my brother and I were allowed to watch by my hippie parents till we were at least 8 or 9 years old, lol

Can you mention in your cut tag what episode the spoilers are for? That way we know whether or not to read them. :)

Sorry. Done. It's fairly vague, but could be considered sort of spoilerly for anyone who hasn't seen any of the 2nd series. I mostly just want to be on the safe side.

I like that approach. I'm generally pretty spoiler free - I may hear a thing hear or there, but I'm only as far as New Earth, so I like to know when to click and when not to. :)

Slitheen. The "v" is an artifact of Rose's accent. :P

I can spoil you for next season's casting without giving away plot details, if you're interested.

I thought 10 was a great episode, but a lot of old skool fans hated it because it was effectively an ode to Doctor Who fandom, and they felt like they were being sent up. The Kennedy-like fans, that is, who frankly deserve sending up.

Okay, give me some casting news! :)

I thought 10 was interesting because, even though it was funny, with the ELO and stuff, it was really dark, overall. And, once again, bloody Doctor Who made me get tears in my eyes. Sigh.

Freema Ageyman joins the show as new companion Martha Jones; her family (parents, sister and brother) have also been cast. John Barrowman returns for several episodes as Captain Jack. David Tennant, of course, continues as the Doctor. Camille Coduri, Noel Clarke, and Billie Piper are all leaving.

I just watched Doomsday, so I know about Billie now. Waaaaaaaaaa. Cried like an idiot. It's nice Rose finally gets the family she's dreamed of, though.

I sort of figured the bride woman would be the new companion.

Nah - bride lady's just there for the Christmas Special. Freema Ageyman was actually in Army of Ghosts - she was the chick who got her brains pulled out - but she's playing a completely different character, who we won't meet 'till episode one of S3.

I was just hacked off that our last view of Rose is of her standing on a beach sobbing her heart out. There's no indication that she's really moved on, and obviously we're meant to interpret that she will, but...

One question: Mickey/Jake, yes or no?
