When you wish upon a star...

So, there's this airline called Spirit that flies out of Atlantic City. My mom sent me this thing - they had a promotion where you could fly out for $7.00. That's right. $7.00. So, I checked it out, the end result is that Charlie and I are going to visit my friend in Tampa on December 9 for a few days, for a grand total of $223.20 round trip, two tickets.

Pretty cool, huh?

We'll stay with my friend, and, coincidentally her parents, who have an apartment thing in their house, will be away, so we'll be able to stay there, practically a hotel room.

We'll probably go to Disney World. I'm going to look into getting the special pass so we don't have to wait in lines. Charlie doesn't deal well with crowds and there's no way there won't be long lines. My SIL and BIL did that with their Autistic daughter - they said it was great. And, really, so many things are harder for Autistic kids, why not take advantage of something that makes life a little bit easier?

So, I'm pretty excited. I haven't seen my friend in ages; haven't even met her little boy, so it will be nice.

Oh, in other news, I spent $15.00 (yes, I'm a spendthrift recently, it seems) on this tape adapter thingy so I can listen to my iPod in the car. Totally worth it. Especially since I had to drive to Newark today. In the pouring rain. The iPod kept me sane and relatively happy.

The end.

Have fun in Florida!

That tape adapter won't work with our tape deck. It has Autoreverse and keeps trying to wind the adapter. We finally got one of those gadgets tha gives out a radio frequency. That works...sometimes.

hmm.. that's strange. these 'tape' thingies supposed to have [edgy wheels] so the other 'hole' keeps spinning.

What happens is that it keeps shifting from backwards to forwards, trying to find some way to wind the "tape". It can't, of course, so it does this ad nauseum.

I don't think the lines will be too bad that early in December. If you waited another week - definitely two - you'd be in the middle of a mob scene.
When we went in June right after school let out, things weren't too bad, but there were some huge lines for a few of the rides. And one or two we couldn't get on at all unless we wanted to wait three hours.
I have friends who went in October and some of the rides they got off of, ran back around and got right back on.
I'm sure you'll have a great time - Charlie too!

223$ for two people is ..awesome.
Definitely get the pass, even if you won't need it in the end. It's always better to be on the safe side. Sounds like you'll have lots of fun

You need a note from a shrink saying that Charlie has autism and then you go down to the Town Hall and talk to the nice people there. They give a pass that's good for... four people, I think. You show it to the people at the rides and they let you in the exit side of things and you walk right onto the ride.
