Wednesday's child is full of Woe

I wrote that subject line only because today isWednesday, and I'm in a bit of a bad mood for some reason, possibly hormonal, and then was suddenly full of curiosity as to what day I was born, because I had been told once upon a time that it was a Tuesday, but wasn't sure if that was correct. So I went to the calendar section of my Outlook and hit the back button* until I got to May of 1967 and lo and behold, I was born on a Wednesday.

Becoming thoroughly obsessed with this now, I Googled 'Monday's Child' to see if Wednesday's child was, indeed, full of woe and found this site wherein you put your date of birth and it tells you what you are, and then gives a nice little explanation to make one feel better about the fact one was born on the one day in the poem that has a negative word in it.

Charlie was born on a Friday. I know this, as I was there, but still had to put it in so I could see what the 'meaning' was. He is a joy to everyone around him. Well, duh.

And now I have completely forgotten the reason for starting this post in the first place.

Last August 17th

I was checking my memories, and exactly one year ago I adopted [livejournal.com profile] dragonwhishes as my cyber-daughter. So happy cyber-adoption day!

Random stuff before bedtime

I've been meaning to post this photo, just because I was rather proud of the work I did this weekend in clearing out my front porch. I don't have a 'before' photo, so you have to take my word for it that it was really cluttered and messy and yuckky.

My front porch )

I also forgot to mention that last night, just as I was drifting off to sleep Charlie came into the room because his air-conditioner woke him up. He said, "Mommy, what is that noise that is going 'hoooooooooo, hooooooooo'?"

Well, i thought it was funny.

I'm planning on watching Ghost Hunters tonight because that is just the most fun 'reality' show ever. I think.

Bye-ee *wishes she had an icon of Miranda Richardson as Queen Elizabeth I in Blackadder because it would go nicely with 'bye-ee'*
