Wednesday's child is full of Woe

I wrote that subject line only because today isWednesday, and I'm in a bit of a bad mood for some reason, possibly hormonal, and then was suddenly full of curiosity as to what day I was born, because I had been told once upon a time that it was a Tuesday, but wasn't sure if that was correct. So I went to the calendar section of my Outlook and hit the back button* until I got to May of 1967 and lo and behold, I was born on a Wednesday.
Becoming thoroughly obsessed with this now, I Googled 'Monday's Child' to see if Wednesday's child was, indeed, full of woe and found this site wherein you put your date of birth and it tells you what you are, and then gives a nice little explanation to make one feel better about the fact one was born on the one day in the poem that has a negative word in it.
Charlie was born on a Friday. I know this, as I was there, but still had to put it in so I could see what the 'meaning' was. He is a joy to everyone around him. Well, duh.
And now I have completely forgotten the reason for starting this post in the first place.
*Which totally put a plot bunny in my mind - what if one did that and actually travelled in time?

on 2005-08-17 05:24 pm (UTC)I can't get the link to work. How did they go about turning "full of woe" into a positive attribute?

on 2005-08-17 05:54 pm (UTC)'Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go.
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child born on the Sabbath Day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.
I was born on a saturday. That's about sodding right! I'm sure in a past life I helped build the pyramids-frelling work! No rest for this kitty, damnit!

on 2005-08-17 08:18 pm (UTC)and from what I know from another song, it's those born on Monday that have no luck, so all their 'fair of face' isn't worth much.
