charliesmumElisabeth Sladen died.
Saw this on Facebook, but the only update I found was Wikipedia, so I held on to hope for a bit that it wasn't true. Alas, it's been confirmed by the BBC.
Because Baker was my First Doctor, Elisabeth Sladen was, by default, my first Companion. I had the immense honour of meeting her (and Jon Pertwee) back in '83. She was lovely and very kind.
I was so happy when she came back in the 2nd series of the new Who, and loved the fact she had her own show.
I'm glad for her that she went out on the top of her game, a beloved and very talented actress.
Rest In Peace, Sarah Jane Smith. We'll miss you. Tell the Brig 'hi'.
