Dear Stephen Moffat:

Please make this happen someday:

"Atkinson did reveal he had been approached to appear in the new series, alongside Matt Smith's incarnation of the Time Lord.

"I was offered a role a year last August, but I couldn't do it because of preparations for Johnny English," he said."

From here

Love, Charliesmum

Been meaning to do this for awhile now. Below is the autograph of Jon Pertwee and Elisabeth Sladen that I got way back when.

Do you remember after that fiasco with The Nice Guy he sent me some Doctor Who items?

One of the things that he sent was this inflatable TARDIS, and I'd shoved it in my hall closet so Charlie wouldn't see it (the Daleks he saw) with the intention of sending it back to him. Naturally, being me, I forgot completely about it until I had to empty my closet today for the plumber and there it was.

So...my question is this...do I want to give it to Charlie for Christmas? Do I want a Giant Inflatable TARDIS in his room, especially as I don't think it is a TARDIS you can use as a wardrobe? Would you want a Giant Inflatable TARDIS?

In related news, I had wanted to get him Doctor Who Uno from Amazon UK but the shipping cost was so high it would've cost me around $60. Ye-ikes. Not worth it, sadly.

We'd watched the new one, and he was fine with the scary bits (as they said on the Confidential, Stephen Moffett likes to make sure parents don't get a full night's sleep) so I thought he could handle Blink.

He loved it. I am cutting so I don't spoil Blink for anyone who is a series behind. )

He really wants to see Army of Ghosts and Doomsday, so we're watching that tonight.

You know the funny thing? I find myself with what I consider a really American attitude when it comes to Doctor Who episodes. I worry sometimes at the episodes that have a high body count, because I think maybe it isn't appropriate for children, or that it will be bad for Charlie, but that's me not really giving him, or the show, enough credit. What it comes down to is I have issues about high body counts. I want everyone to survive always. If they did that, thought, we wouldn't have classic scary moments like the one in the most recent DW episode, right?

Oh, and a cute thing - He was asking me if David Tennant would still be the Doctor next year, and I explained to him about Hamlet, and the limited series, and he said, "Hamlet? By Shakesepare?" I said yes and he said, "Can we go see it?"

Oh, I wish.

One last thing about the most recent episode )

I hate 2 part episodes. I'm just too impatient to deal with them.

Insert Episode Name, Which I've forgotten, Here )

Speaking of Sonic Screwdrivers, did I mention I ordered one for Charlie from Amazon? I couldn't resist. He loves that thing. He got excited every time the Doctor used it. I got the one that makes noises and comes with 'psychic paper'.

I can't wait until it gets here. So I could give it to Charlie, of course. Not so I can play with it, or anything. Nope. Charlie's toy.

I'm successfully turning Charlie into a Doctor Who fan. He really likes the Sonic Screwdriver. I'm very tempted to buy him the torch that is for sale on Amazon.com.

Anywhoodle...on to the spoilers for the 2nd episode who's title currently escapes me )

So, what was your favorite or not so favorite bit?
