Happy First Day of Autumn!*

charliesmumIt is the first day of Fall, which is my very favorite season. Even when going to school was positive torture for me I still looked forward to fall and even the first day of school because it was always full of possiblity and hope that this year things will be good.
I just love when the air turns crisp and cool - cool enough to wear long trousers and sometimes a jacket but not so cold as to be uncomfortable. I love the leaves turning color - driving past Knights Park in my town is achingly beautiful when all the trees are dressed in orange and gold and red and amber. And I love fresh apples and pumpkins at all the fruit stands.
And Halloween is my favorite holiday of all. It just is. I love the dressing up, having one day to be something other than what you are. And the chocolate and candy is a bonus. Actually November 1st is the best candy day because all the Halloween candy is on sale.
So yay for Autumn.
