Heh, I know what you mean. One of my fellow Mass Comm majors in college (we had several classes together; it's a small school) is now a TX State Rep (D). Not particularly surprising, as both his father and mother had distinguished TX State Senate careers.

But I remember David blowing off the English-Usage (exit) exam, because he thought no one read the essays. He dashed off a few pages of tripe, and was informed a few months later that not only would he not graduate, he would have to take an entire semester of Bonehead English in order to be eligible for December Graduation. I'll tell that one on him forever. He's a decent guy, and has a pretty good sense of humor; he also remembers the names of people who were in his college classes, even 15-19 years later!
