The BBC did a version in their Shakespeare Retold series a couple of weeks ago where Hero (played by the lovely Billie Piper, of Dr Who fame) tells Claudio to fuck off at the end-doesn't put it in so many words, but she makes it clear that if the EVER get back together it'll be on her terms. She's then chief bridesmaid at Beatrice and Benedick's wedding, and he's best man, so there's a sort of unity there. OK, so it's not entirely true to Shakespeare, but it certainly had me screaming "At last!!" at the screen for a while.
