Jun. 2nd, 2004 12:08 pmI have a new friend! *waves to wolfgangmozart*.
Yesterday I was pulling out of a parking spot at a McDonalds and bumped into someone's car. Because I left a mark I couldn't just hop in my car and run away, as much as I really wanted to, so I left a note with my email address, and the people contacted me. I assume they'll want me to pay to fix the bumper. It wasn't bad, just the paint got chipped off. Hopefully it isn't too expensive. I just hope the good karma I might have accrued by leaving the note will help me find the money to pay for the damages.
Sigh.
In other news, I added a chapter to my Highlander story. http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=1859231&chapter=5
I'm pretty pleased with it overall, although after I posted it I noticed an error despite the fact I read it over no less than 5 times before posting. I need a beta reader.
I love the fact that, although I am in my 30's, I have a group of friends who are all as excited as I am to see the new Harry Potter movie. We're going on Saturday. Hurrah. J. is even going to bring blocks of chocolates for us to eat during the dementor scenes. And L. has an actual Hogwarts robe she is going to wear. I've got a Gryffindor shirt and scarf and a Hogwarts hat. Hey - I may be grown up, but I refuse to grow old. So there. Never too late to have a happy childhood, that's my motto.
And, like Terry P wrote: Inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened
