Second star to the right

My friend and I went to see Finding Neverland last night. Johnny Depp so deserves the Oscar, I think. Although I haven't seen any of the other nominee's movies, so what do I know? But he is just a flawless actor, he really is. And it was a good movie. Very sweet and amusing. Kate Winslet was very good as well, and the little boys in the film were good actors as well as adorable.

And that was pretty much it for my weekend. Got stuff done around the house a bit. Not as much as I should have, but when do I ever?

Does anyone on my flist watch Joan of Arcadia regularly? I wasn't thrilled with this week's episode, but it could be because Hillary Duff was on it, and I was just reacting to the stunt casting 'let's get the tween viewers involved' thing. I'd like other opinions, if anyone saw it. (I also don't like that particular type of plot line, where someone is hailed as a hero and then turned upon.)

Oh, one more thing, and I may rant about this at a later date, but I've come to the opinion that all the Harry Potter movies are just really expensive forms of fan fiction.
