In the news
Mar. 7th, 2005 05:16 pmCan anyone tell me why CNN.com feels the need to update us on the whereabouts of Martha Stewart every dang day? Why is this the headlining story? She's not even doing anything important it's all 'Martha Stewart looks at her horse' and other nonsense like that.
In other news, I may have mentioned my in-laws being, well, not fans of Bill Clinton. My MIL mentioned some story she heard about Clinton signing books while doing the Tsunami relief thing with George Bush senior. She obviously got her news from somewhere like Newsmax.com that has a very right-wing POV rather than European Stars and Stripes, who paint the incident in a very different light. Which just goes to prove that people will percieve things the way they want to, and nothing will change their opinion if they don't want it changed. Even though Clinton did say he was going to donate some of the money from his book to Tsunami relief.
I'm pretty sure even the fact that Clinton did something nice for George Bush Sr. wouldn't change their opinions. I'm interested to see how the right-wing people spin that story.
And finally, apparently if you build it, they still will come
I was going to say something pithy about how time drags when you're doing something like work, but flies by as soon as you start doing something fun, but we all know that already, and, well, I've run out of time.
