Tra La, it's May That lusty month of May
May. 1st, 2005 06:43 pmThis furniture store called Levitz was having a liquidation sale, and this morning we went to it. I am very pleased because I was able to purchase a genuine leather couch (apologies to any vegetarians in my flist, but it's a really comfy couch) for $200. Also purchased a lovely oversized swade comfy chair (cue the "Not the comfy chair!" bit from Monty Python) for $99. $300 isn't bad for new furniture for my lounge.
Earlier this weekend, my mother and I hied ourselves to Value City and I purchased many lovely outfits and some adorable summer sweaters for a fraction of their original cost. Also got pretty dress for my friend's wedding in July.
So this weekend was good shopping karma.
I don't think it is possible for me to want to go to work any less than I do tomorrow. It's my last week, and I just don't want to deal with it. Sigh. But this too shall pass, right? Right.
And is cute Charlie news, the other night he saidi to me, completely out of nowhere, "I lost my nerve."
"You lost your nerve?" I repeated, "Why?"
"Mr Ear took it." he told me.
I don't know what that means either.
