Woke up at "O'Dark-Thirty" yesterday to go up to Brooklyn NY. Didn't see the tree. Actually, to be accurate, I woke up at 4am to go up to West Orange, NJ where I met with one of my co-workers, and the two of us went to Brooklyn to attend this school convention thingy. It was fun. I am being trained up so someday I can do presentations and conventions, which is way cool. The woman I went with is very kind, and we got along very well. She insisted on buying me lunch, since I'd gotten up so early. She was the one that took me into Brooklyn so I didn't see the logic, but was too tired (and hungry) to argue. People are too nice to me.
On Friday we were at our friend's house for dinner, and the boys (Devon and Charlie) were playing outside, and getting very dirty, and Jennifer forbade them to wander in and out of the house while she was cooking. Charlie stood at the back door for a moment, thinking this over, and then said in a very definitve voice, "Employees only." He then asked Jennifer for a drink of water, but did so like he was ordering from a drive-through. "I'd like water, please, with ice." You probably had to be there, but it was pretty darn funny.
We were all supposed to do a long bike drive-slash-picnic thing today, so naturally it is raining. Yesterday, the day I spent mostly inside a hotel conference area, was beautiful. Oh well, such is life. The fact we had nice weather at all is something I shall be grateful for.
And that's it for my life. How are you?
