Saturday we were supposed to go to the Phillies game, and it was rained out. Sunday we went to the zoo, and it was damp and gloomy the entire time we were there, and cleared up only after we'd gotten home.

Today is the "Bard Birthday Bash"* and I was hoping it could be on the patio of the Grooveground and it's bloody raining. And also Charlie is supposed to have his baseball photo taken today.

The weather gods hate me.

*And anyone who lives in or near my town please, please, please come! This is my baby and I'm terrified no one will show. Please? It is 7pm at the Grooveground on Haddon Avenue. We have crafts for kids and lots of seriously cool things to bid on. Please? Thank you. More pleading will be coming throughout the day.

She just stopped by my house with a donation for the Shakespeare auction tonight. An at-home massage, and the package has some lovely soap and one of those eye-mask thingies. She rocks.

We have all sorts of really nice things to be auctioned tonight. I really, really, hope people come.

I even had dreams about it last night. Hadn't realized it was preying on my mind so much.

Seriously, though. Awesome items. And [livejournal.com profile] justleakynow is the best ever.

All wound up or something, and I can't sleep. Had a slight screw up with work, which makes me paranoid, so that's not helping matters either.

The Shakespeare thing, while not a rousing success, wasn't horrible. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] justleakynow and [livejournal.com profile] elfmanfan (and Lily) for coming and showing support. You guys rock. The Grooveground owner said we could keep some of the items there for the week, and people could just bid on them when they come for coffee, so hopefully that will bring in a bit more money, and I think we made over $100, so that's nice. Every little bit helps.

Walt, who is this totally nice man on the board actually bought the 'writers basket' for me. He's so sweet. He was in advertising his whole life and has really interesting stories. One of the things in the basket is "Snoopy's Guide to the Writing Life" which is pretty awesome.

We played my Shakespeare game for a bit, too, and that was fun. Must do that again soon.

I really need to go to bed. To sleep, perchance to dream...
