How is it possible that, while the month of May seems to be flying by, this particular week seemed to never want to end?

I had an idea for a television series. What do you think of this:

Takes place in a music store/music school. The school is run by a guy who was a huge star in the early 80's, and opened the store upon retiring. The cast would consist of various music teachers - an aspiring rock star, and older man who never quite made it in the business but hasn't quite let go of the dream yet. One of the teachers could be the owner's son or daughter who is musically talented but really wants to do something else, something safe like accounting or something, but the Dad holds out hope he or she will follow in his footsteps some day, and a classically trained person who despairs at the modern world because she feels like there is no place for the classics any more.

The students in general could be one-offs, but there would be a few regulars. An autistic boy who is very talented (naturally), a young girl who has a crush on the aspiring rock star, and a middle-aged man who is a detective, but always wanted to learn to play the trumpet, and is finally taking lessons.*

Maybe the owner could have several ex-wives he's still friendly with who come in an out as the story permits.

Oh, and Hugh Laurie would totally guest star as an ex-band mate of the owner. Because it's my story, and I'd hire him. And we could get 'special guest stars' of other 80's rockers who are looking for work.

Maybe David Bowie would give me the rights to use the song "Rock and Roll Star" for the opening credits. That'd be cool.

*This one I get from real life, sort of. Yesterday while waiting at Charlie's lessons a very nicely dressed man sat across from me with a trumpet case. He was probably around my age, maybe a bit older, and when he stood up to go with his teacher (a very young hipster type) I noticed handcuffs hanging from the back of his pants. It was very intriguing.
