I was going to do that 'ten years' meme that's been going around, but then I realised not much has changed in ten years. I wasn't in school 10 years ago, I was already wearing contacts 10 years ago, I have the same husband, the same friends. The only thing that really changed is Charlie, and you lot already knew that.

Charlie didn't want to go to school today because there was a thunderstorm happening, and for some reason he's decided they scare him.

"We're going to do hookies today" he told me.

Not sure where he learned that term, but it made me laugh.

The Husband is off with his band today; they're playing a gig in Boston, and then driving home the same night, for some really stupid reason. They're called Mondo Topless for any of you in the Boston area who might enjoy 'garage music' played by a bunch middle-aged men.

Have officially started the Twelfth Night rehersals. We have a week to get it down. It's qood fun - Dina, the other woman doing it with me is an excellent actress, and I think we're really going to have fun with this. It's the bit where Olivia meets Viola, disguised as Cesario, for the first time and falls in love with 'him' with, as usual, amusing results.

And one more quick Charlie story before I shut up: This morning (after convincing him not to play 'hookies') I took Charlie the 'long way' to school, as he's been asking, and as he settled happily into his seat he started singing, much to my surprise, "Take the Long Way Home" by Supertramp.
