I did that play reading thing yesterday. That was fun, and I think I may get a chance to do another one.

I went a bit overboard and got a new dress for the event. I probably didn't need to, but hey, any excuse for a new dress, right? I quite literally don't have any nice autumn dresses anymore - I haven't needed to dress up, and last December I got rid of all the stuff that I was too big for, and now I'm too small for whatever I had left. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

I went to Ross at first, but had no luck. If I wanted a sparkly dress, sure, but just a regular dress, not so much. I wound up at the mall and found this lovely dress at Ann Taylor Loft. It was on sale, and it's a nice dress, and will be good to have during the holidays.

I am feeling much less stressed at the moment. Last week was bad. Just horrible. Everything was going wrong. Bluch. Hopefully this week will be better.

Charlie is home sick today. Poor baby has a cold and a bad cough.

This is an extremely boring post.

Two episodes into Torchwood and we've already seen a boy kiss a boy and a girl kiss a girl. Now that's, a show that knows how to entertain!

I watched the first series of this show called "Afterlife" and it was really good. We have a show here in the states called "The Ghost Whisperer" which is, frankly, stupid. It doesn't help they cancelled Joan of Arcadia for this thing, but it's totally treacly and silly, sort of "touched by an Angel" with ghosts.

Afterlife is completely the opposite. Very gritty and harsh in places, but still, ultimately, hopeful. I'm waiting quite impatiently to get my hands on the 2nd series.

Also watched "Randall and Hopkirk (deceased)" which was cute and funny and had Tom Baker in it. David Tennant and Hugh Laurie both guesto-starred as well, which is nice.

And Life on Mars is going to end after the 2nd series, apparently. Which is sad, but goes to show that the people at the Beeb (for the most part) know how NOT to drag concepts into the ground. *coughxfilescough*. Now if they'd just stop importing all those stupid reality shows I'd be content.

I'm sure I could think of more intelligent things to post about, but, well, I'm not. Oh well.
