Yes, I laughed
Jul. 30th, 2007 03:32 pmI just got back from taking Charlie and two of his friends, brothers, to the park. On the way home we stopped for water ices, and sat on the benches outside the shop to eat them. Eric, who is only 9, mentioned having a 'girlfriend' for two days. I said that at his age it's good not to have long term committments. Conversation lulled for a moment, then Charlie said, rather loudly, "When I grow up, I want to be gay with Byron."
I don't think I need to worry about the friends critising Charlie for that comment, however. On the way home, they started a mock argument over who would look better in a dress they saw in a shop window.
And now the three of them are standing outside screaming, "Ooh, we're so fabulous!" at passing cars.
Gotta love the new generation.
