Question...
Oct. 29th, 2007 12:16 pmShould I post this to
mock_the_stupid?
I was talking with my friend this morning and she was telling me of a situation she had with her son's school.
Apparently the school gave out these cards (with no notice to the parents) that kids are supposed to be able to use at lunch - the kid uses it, and the money gets charged to the parents. Essentially it is a credit card.
Now my friend had issues with this because there's no real way to identify which card belongs to which kid, blah blah blah so she took the issue to the school and wound up arguing with the lunch woman who just couldn't understand my friend's concerns. When my friend pointed out that it was as if they issued a credit card to the kids, the woman disagreed.
"It's not a credit card," she said, "because you can't buy clothes with it."
