Charlie's new career goal is to be the 11th Doctor.

I pointed out that the Doctor tends to be played by an British actor, and said maybe he could be a companion, but he wants no part of that. "You could be a companion," he tells me.

He wanted to go to London to do so, until I pointed out they film it in Cardiff. Now he wants to go there.

Yes, he is his mother's son through and through.

I'm kind of pleased, because I would really love to take him to the UK, and, at least for now, it is something HE would enjoy almost as much as I. (Someday soon, please Universe)

I wish I could take him there this December. He'd love to see Oliver live, and, as much as I don't like that play, I'd suffer through it for his sake. And to see Rowan Atkinson.

And then we could go see a Panto, which is something I always wanted to do, and we could go to Cardiff to see the Doctor Who museum, and go to Stratford so he could see Shakespeare's birthplace.

Sigh...I'm dreaming again. Anyone want to contribute to the "Get Charliesmum and Charlie to England" fund? :)

There's a bit in the play where the director wanted Kate (aka the Shrew) to be sewing or something. The other Kate and the Bianca thought that was kind of stupid really, why would Kate, who is first seen carrying a rifle, be sewing? So Bianca came up with the idea of Kate practising making a noose.* Bianca, who is 16, knows how to do this, so she taught us.

The weird thing is, it's kind of fun. Rather theraputic. People annoying you? Make a noose, hold it up admiringly, and then take it apart again. I mean it isn't like I want to actually hang anyone, but as cathartic therapy, it rather works.

Charlie just came in with the box of Swifter Wet Jet cloths, asking me how they go on the mop. So, he either wants to earn some money (at 10 at night) or he just spilled something.

If I go check, I'll ruin his surprise, if he's trying to surprise me. So I'll just sit here.

Yes, he's definitely mopping with my Swifter.

I just poked my head into the kitchen.

Me: Did you spill something?

Charlie: No, I just thought I would mop the kitchen floor. I thought it would be nice.

Me: It is nice, thank you.

Charlie: You didn't even ask me.

Me: No, I didn't.

Charlie: I thought cleaning this floor should be part of my allowance.

....

Charlie: Finished!

Me: Good Job

Charlie: Want to see the floor?

I'm off to see the floor now.

*Because it is a Western, that's why. And no one knows how to make a lasso
