Feb. 1st, 2011 12:27 pmDay 08 - A moment you felt the most satisfied with your life
Many different times, for many different reasons.
The thing is, those kind of moments don't last. There's been many times where I think, 'this is exactly what I want my life to be. I hope it never changes.' but it does change, and there's nothing we can do about it, except appreciate the moment when we are experiencing it.
I remember once during high school, a bunch of my friends and I were staying after school - I forget why, probably the literary fine arts magazine meeting or something. Anyway, we wound up sitting on the steps and just talking about all the things that teenagers who tend toward things like working on a literary fine arts magazine like to talk about. I remember feeling really content. I was surrounded by true friends who cared for me, and I them, and we were having meaningful conversation, and I was happy. It didn't last; it never does, but I'm grateful I had that moment, and all the moments like it in my life before and since.
