So, anyway...
Oct. 19th, 2011 08:36 pmHorrible gloomy day today, and it's the kind of evening where I'm just waiting until it seems like a socially acceptable time to go to bed.
Haven't told you much about my cat, Andromache, have I? She's doing very well. She's getting a bit chubby, actually. Am going to have to cut down on her food a bit I think. She swans around like she owns the place and, let's face it, she's a cat. She totally does.
Andromache is very sweet. She's not a lap cat, but she likes to be next to people, and if in one room, and Charlie in another, she likes to sit in the hallway so she can keep an eye on both of us.
Charlie has taken to calling her 'Mink' (or Meenk, I think that's how he decided to spell it.) He'd said, ages before we found her, that he wanted a black and white girl cat called Minke. When we ultimately named her, I pointed out that one could conceivably get the name 'Mink' from Andromache. She'll answer to anything if she thinks there's a treat in it for her.
Speaking of Charlie, he's doing very well in High School so far. He is enjoying it, and says he 'loves high school'. So that's good. He's been taking singing lessons. He's very talented, but kind of lazy. If he really put his mind to it, he'd be amazing, I think. Someday, I believe, his ambition will kick in.
My mom gave Charlie a lap top, kind of on a long term loan. I'm using it at the moment, but it's 'his' and he's thrilled. It has Skype on it, and last time he went to his Dad's he called us up on Dave's computer, and we video chatted. It was all futuristic and stuff.
So, Charlie is a lucky boy. I think its all the 4 leaf clovers he finds.
And...I am going to be in England in just 23 more days! *Kermit yay*
I'm trying to keep up with everyone on LJ, but it is SO HARD when I can't do it during the day. So if i missed anything important in anyone's life, let me know.
