Aug. 28th, 2012 04:11 pmCharlie is at his tour/orientation for his new school. For some reason this is making me feel sappy and sentimental. Not sure why; technically it isn't his first year of high school, even though Senior High here starts in 10th grade, since we went through that last year, so it's not exactly a milestone moment. It could be because I didn't go with him; this is the first time I haven't tagged along to a school thing.

I really hope he's enjoying himself and maybe making an aquaintance or two. I really hope he enjoys this school. It's so new and very different from his old school, much bigger, for starters. It reminds me of my own high school, actually.
Some issues aside, I enjoyed high school for the most part. For the first time I felt I fit in at school, I had friends, I did things. I think I'm hoping he'll have a similar experience.
