I'm a doorknob. :-) Even with my hearing aids jacked all the way up and a very quiet room. I cannot hear anything whatsoever. Wah! I wonder if it's because it reacts to my hearing aids (mine is ditigal), and it doesn't pick up those sounds. I have never heard a cricket in my life, so when people complain about the abundance of crickets outside, I hear nothing. I can only hear sounds that are LOUD, not high frequencey and quiet. It has to be loud... The only sound that absolute annoys me the most is when people whistle...that really hurts my ears. Cats purring is my favorite sounds.
I'm gonna give this test to my friends who have cohlear implants and see if they can hear anything! :-)
