The other day I bought one of those Tide Stick things, to see if it actually worked. Charlie asked me what it was, and I think I must have said something along the lines of 'it cleans things'.

He was playing his Gamecube, and was really unhappy because his disc wasn't working. I came in to see if I could help, and I told him he should try cleaning it. "I did," he said, holding up the disc. It was covered in thse faint lines, like he'd taken a marker to it. "I used this."

I think you can see where this is going. He used the Tide stick.

Hey, any of you fashion types out there, can you explain the whole 'wear thongs and low rise trousers' thing? Is it still in style? Is one supposed to show the thong in the back?

I'm probably too old to do this, but I bought some thongs and I have some low rise jeans, and I'm curious.

HAHAHAHAHA. Thongs + low-rise jeans show up all the time on Go Fug Yourself. However, since it's Go Fug Yourself, I don't think it's recommended. (But! Paris Hilton does it! And some other people.)

Low rise jeans are fine as long as they're an appropriate rise on you, and thongs are fine anytime. Just make sure if you're wearing low rise pants to wear appropriately low-rise thongs so as they DO NOT show over your jeans. Sometimes it's unavoidable, but you can generally do pretty well with an appropriately rised/sized jean, and a low-rise thong.

I think you're only my age. I wear low-rise jeans because anything else looks stupid on me, and I wear thongs because I hate pantilines, and I hate picking underwear out of my ass-crack. It's not what you wear, it's how you wear it.

I don't have the butt or body for a low rise jeans, and I don't want to feel like I have a wedgie all the time...:-)

However, I've heard from people (namely my 49 year old mom), said that it actually feels better than underwear.
If you got the body, faunt it, and go for it. Otherwise, just be careful if you are going to bend down to get that corn in a can on the bottom shelf in the supermarket, heads will turn. :-)

Please please dont let your thong show. I dont care how cute a person is or how adorable the thong, its just unnecessary and imho, icky.

Lowrise pants need low rise undies, whether thongs or those wide briefy panties which I think are actually pretty cute on people. :)

One good book to get (if you are into such things) is the Lucky guide to fashion which has helped me a lot. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9781592400362&itm=1

Gotta love a kid's logic! Poor Charlie, is the game ruined now?

Aw, poor Charlie. Hopefully the game wasn't an expensive one...

I like low-rise jeans--a friend of mine persuaded me to get a pair a couple of years ago, and I was surprised to find that they were more comfortable and worked better with my frame. My advice: get a belt--low-rise pants are more likely to ride down with wear. Just say no to crack, my friend.

As for the thongs, I don't like them, but lots of my female friends do. However, wearing them poking up out of your pants looks tacky, in my opinion. I just don't like to see anyone's underpants during the course of my day. I recommend a low-rise hipster brief or bikini cut panty if the thong doesn't work out for you.

you are never too old

is this what you mean

I guess it can look good, depending on what you are doing,

post pics either way, I know you will look good in anything you wear,

and about the tide stick my wife gave me one the other day to use if I need it,to me I would have used it as a marker,

have a fun week

take care
Ossie

First of all, priceless Charlie story, bless him! Secondly, as a fashion-aware woman, I beg you not to do the thong/low-rise pants combination. One or the other, no problem, but I personally think that it's sort of trashy-looking, and Britney Spears-ish, and if I was thin enough to do it, I wouldn't!

Ew ew ew NO! Thongs over low-risers were never cool, they were just tacky. Wear thongs, wear low-rise jeans, but please, be careful when you do.

Shortly: No.
You can wear low-rise jeans and thongs, but the whole 'look at my underwear' thing is totally ugly. And it's so last years, too - I should know: I see the Tourism studying crowd and all most of them do is parade the latest trends (unlike us, they only do a BA and have too much free time, it seems).
Like everyone else said, use low-rise undies for your belly-showing pants/skirts.
Cute Charlie story and I liked the video of him playing, too.
