Oh, gods, yes. Purple Rain.
Loved that movie when it was in the theatres. Loved it. Saw it probably 2 or three times. Listened to the soundtrack obsessively. My BFF and I even got the single 'Sex Shooters' sung by Apolloina. (however it's spelled.)
When I saw it on telly a few years ago, all I could think of was 'What on earth was I thinking?' Ridiculous movie - bad acting, insepid plot, bizzare love story.
Great songs, though.
