Hello! I'm here too. I've turned off automatic payments to LJ; I'm going to let my account there lapse to Basic; as I know damned well that a lot of my friends do NOT like change and are not coming over to Dreamwidth no matter what LJ does. And I still can't import Femgenficathon over here, and that comm is important to me.
I think that's why LJ isn't doing any spin control. They're hoping sheer inertia will take over. And if it doesn't--well, I think it's a safe bet to say that LJ's staff does NOT like its English-speaking customers. This is what's been going on:
- "Share This" link now shares whole posts with over 50 various 'social networking sites'... rather than just sending one e-mail with link (which is the way it used to be).
- The staff is refusing to do anything for "a couple of weeks"...when they know this is a serious security/privacy bug.
- LJ will allow customers to "opt out" of all other forms of "journal promotion"--but not these.
- Staff are allowed to troll the News site and to be overtly abusive to its userbase in writing...and then deleted everything to cover their tracks. AND they get keep their jobs afterwards; after all, they're not doing anything that would be considered outrageously unprofessional in any other business...oh. Wait.

- The staff's blatant disregard for LJ's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy...
- LJ's disregard of the fact that ALL public AND friend-locked entries currently allow for cross-posting to Twitter/Facebook... "Once we implement this change, it will no longer be possible to cross-post screened comments or comments left on Friends Only entries. " (IE: not NOW!)
- "Share This" link now shares whole posts with over 50 various 'social networking sites'... rather than just sending one e-mail with link (which is the way it used to be).
